GCUC News / Events

Consequently, the Management of GCUC would like to inform the University College Community that, in accordance with the directives of the President of Ghana, all lectures have been suspended till further notice.

However, pending any information to the contrary, ongoing examinations being conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (N&MC) still continue.

We should all attempt to comply with recommended and prescribed health precautions as given out from time-to-time by the Ghana government

  1. We should rely solely on information from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and its agencies especially Ghana Health Service and Ministry of Information. Authentic and reliable information drives away fear and panic.
  2. We should follow basic rules of hygiene like proper hand washing and personal and environmental hygiene advised by the MOH.
  3. We should visit the hospital when unwell for immediate medical attention.

Staff of the University College providing essential services such as the following must report to duty:

  • Security
  • Housekeepers
  • Drivers
  • IT service providers
  • Administrative staff
  • Library staff
  • Finance Office staff
  • Internal Audit staff

The Dental Clinic shall remain open to offer their services to students and the general public.

Deans and Heads of Department shall continue to ensure the smooth running of their department and offices

Management wishes you well wherever you find yourself during this break till we are all safe and back to school.

Thank you

Prof. E. K. Asante

PRESIDENT
