A multi-society of students interacting to achieve maximum academic & social growth

For the 2009 Admissions recruiting season, GCUC received 1,14 applications which represents an 80% increase over last year’s total.

The admissions process continues to be very keen with only 70% of all applicants comprising the incoming class of 1000 students.

The Admissions office was also pleased with the percentage of admitted students who accepted Gcuc ’s offer of admissions this year, which resulted in a stronger enrolment yield of 85% compared to 71% a year earlier.

Overall, the quality of the applicant pool was stronger this year, which led to a very competitive admission process.

The Admissions team attributed these improving trends to GCUC’s growing reputation, a generous scholarship program, and targeted school visits.

Each year Gcuc ’s brand recognition steadily improves which has led to an increase in student interest.

All prospective students are advised to carefully consider the application deadlines and respond accordingly.

Application Deadline: This is the date by which your application must be received at the admissions office.  In order to streamline the decision making process, applications are considered over three rounds.  We strongly advise prospective applicants to apply early.

Alice Osei (Bs. Finance & Entrepreneurship) – 2007
The hallmark of a GCUC education is its emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation. Entrepreneurship is the driving force behind innovation and economic growth.

It facilitates the development of new ideas, novel approaches, and innovative technologies to meet the needs of our ever increasing sophisticated global society.

The program i am currently studying is an action-packed practical program which aims at teaching students to be job creators and not job seekers.

To make us stand out,GCUC graduates are trained in a position to establish their own business.

This is where GCUC University surpassed my expectations and perhaps this should be the measure of a truly successful study experience - having a great time and a memorable educational experience

Makosso – International Student-2007
GCUC University is quickly developing a reputation for being both a step ahead and a step away from prevailing methods and institutions of higher education in Ghana. The university's small size coupled with the administration's commitment to maintaining an inquisitive community atmosphere makes GCUC unique.

It is this uniqueness that draws GCUC's motivated student body; greatly enriching classroom as well as social interactions.
For study abroad students such as myself however GCUC is only part of the experience gained in Ghana.

There is after all, life beyond the classroom in the former Gold Coast. Ghana's travel destinations range from the beautiful and relaxing to adventurous excursions.

Some of my favorite destinations and memories include: Mole National Park

And indeed, I feel that I have gained a greater consciousness of the wider world community while in Ghana.

What I did not expect when I first touched down in Accra however, was the prospect of enjoying my stay and missing Ghana at the conclusion of my programme.
