The e-Library

GCUC's e-library will provide students of the various schools with a vast number of online resources. Work has begun to develop a full array of books and journals on line in full text; reference works and sites; course materials and prototypes. Links to some of these resources are categorised in the Online Resources Section.

The e-library can be accessed from any computer, on or off campus, with Internet access. Students may find it convenient to use the computers in GCUC's campus library due to the high-speed Internet access.

The Campus Library

GCUC's campus library has over 5,000 books, journals and magazines, and more are being purchased. Arrangements are being made for additional book shelves and a multimedia division that will cater for training video, audios, and CDs.

Access and Services

The current library is open at 8:00am and closes at 5:00pm. However, during revision and examination week, the library remains open until 8:00pm. All collections are catalogued. Currently, the library is moving from a manual to an automated catalogue system.

Arrangement for the borrowing and return of books will be made known to users in due course.

Library Personnel

A seasoned and experienced librarian has been engaged to manage the university's library services. He has a Master's in Librarianship plus several years of on-the-job experience. In addition to the librarian, three staff members work in the library.
